Located in Chandausi town of Moradabad district, SM College is a premier educational institution of Western Uttar Pradesh. The college imparts graduation and postgraduation education in arts, science and commerce streams. It also runs vocational and teachers' training courses. Research facilities leading to doctorate degree are available in all the departments that run postgraduate classes.
The college is affiliated to MJP Rohilkhand University, Bareilly. It is recognised for teachers' training courses by the National Council for Teachers Education (NCTE), Jaipur .
SM College has been declared an A Grade institution by the Higher Education Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh. The college has also been rated as B Grade institution by Bangalore-based National Assessment and Accredition Council (NAAC), an autonomous institution of the University Grants Commission (UGC).
